Been having wrist pain (below thumb region) for 2years. Last year had a cortisteroid jab on BOTH wrist, the pain did disappear.

However, recently the pain returned and i went to see a hand surgeon and was diagnose of DE QUERVAIN SYNDROME. As i had cortisteroid jab before, his advise was not to go for the jab again as higher doses might be needed. He recommended that i wear a wrist splint and to lay off ALL weight training tilll recovers.

Anyone here has the same injuries before? what was the remedy ?

Welcome to the club. I did have the same a few years ago, bore with it for about a month, then wore a brace, but didn't help, so got a cortisol jab. Then revamped lifestyle to alleviate load from the hand.

e.g. I stopped doing very high rep work.
Looked at what factors contributed to the problem, decided it was due to the high usage of my laptop keyboard forcing my hand+wrist into a non-neutral position, so got an ergonomic keyboard (MS 4000, sadly no longer in the market place) and switched from using the mouse in my right hand, to the left (at the workplace; at home I use the mouse w/my right).

Haven't had a relapse since, although it's never been the same again.
