where to buy mats for olympic lifting?

Post by ElliottChow »

Does anybody know where I can buy the rubber mats for olympic lifting, not looking for platforms but just 2 pieces of plastic that I can use when i drop the weights so it doesnt make a big dent on the concrete.

Just use plywood.

if you're talking about cheap rubber mats, i wouldn't recommend it...
it's a real bitch to load additional weight when the bar is on the mat.

you'll end up rolling the bar off the mat, then rolling it up again... waste of time and energy.

i have no idea how to use plywood, but i'll explore that one first.

I don't think he means the compressible yoga mats, but rather the harder playground type? Those wouldn't be hard to load on.
