It's no secret that kettlebells have proven themselves to be one of the most effective training tools in existence for developing every attribute on the physical/athletic continuum – strength, endurance, core strength, agility, flexibility and the list goes on. However, there really hasn't been a comprehensive system that brings together the all the benefits kettlebells have to offer. Until now! - that is where the CKT certification comes in!
What will you learn at a CKT certification?

* The core Kettlebell lifts and all their variations!
* How to properly execute all of the competition lifts involved in Russian Kettlebell Sport – swing, snatch, clean, jerk, clean and jerk.
* How you can still achieve all of your fitness goals despite the challenge of limited time
* How to design a program for any fitness goal you or your clients may have – strength, endurance, work capacity, muscle mass, mobility etc.
* The necessary drills needed to help ensure you and your clients learn all the lifts safely
* The multiple types of energy needed for powerful pressing and squatting
* The importance of training for “time” and how it can take your “work capacity” through the roof!
* How kettlebells train your body to effectively manage any type of force encountered in the real world
* How to create the “blueprint” necessary for achieving mastery in Russian Kettlebell sport
* Why kettlebells make you more resistant to injury
* How kettlebells can be combined with other training methods to develop un-matched athleticism (more on this in the FMD certification!)
* Why learning to regulate your tension is a huge must in improving your lifts and athleticism
* And much more!

7. Hotels: Transport and hotels are not included in the certification fee.

Jeumpa D'ramo (http://www.jeumpadramo.com/home)*
Peninsular Hotel at Damansara Heights (http://www.peninsula-residencekl.com)*
Cititel Hotel at Midvalley (http://www.cititelhotel.com)
Boulevard Hotel at Midvalley (http://www.blvhotel.com)
The Gardens Hotel at Midvalley (http://www.gardenshtlres.com)
Eastin Hotel at Petaling Jaya (http://www.eastin.com)

There are more options depending on your budget. Please contact these hotels to arrange this in advance.
*These hotels are closest to the training venue.

So far http://www.peninsula-residencekl.com/promotions.html is the cheapest - 188.57 RM for one night.
Current exchange rate is 2.4, not that bad of a deal.

Squats can only strengthen, tear or break something. Strengthening, tearing and breaking is totally awesome. Thus squats are awesome.

Yeah, i was asking him about lodging and all that.
Not sure about KL roads, can get directions from my dad or mom's friend who is in KL.

Either way from my exchanges with Vince, it seems to be 15-20 mins drive away from KLCC.
I'm still gathering people to book the hotels and all, so far what i've pointed out in the post is the cheaper option.

Let me know whats the arrangement, anyway i'll kick start an attendee list who those who are interested to go down -

Don't know who is King but Vince is the owner of the KDTA - the venue for the seminar.
Anyway lodging and transport wise you've got it settled?

Weib,
count me out...
although i get level 1 approval from my CFO...i still need to find help to fetch my children to school....

I most properly book last min for it and hotel, two option, drive up or take a plane...

Also, if i cannot hit certain rep for jerk, snatch and one arm long cycle, i may not attend too.

the two day of kb lifting will be tough, need to be prepare as is physical and mentally demanding as advices by Vince..

I want to get the cert, if i feel physical i cannot make it....will not go...

the level two also no joke, steve coming from a chinese martial art background, his mobility is super.

if everything work out, see yo then,otherwise......
King out and good luck!

That was my sentiment although I was very interested in the workshop. After going through kettlebell classes and I still find myself lacking in technique. Actually my fault because I was so sure I have mastered the technique the last time. Second time with Herman make me realise kettlebell technique is not that easy to master actually. Thot my swing was good but looking at my video clip, found that I did not have it - the tempo, the style and the finese. Now if my finances can afford it, I would consider first going to Herman's workshop first. If I can survive his flowfit and the two days' workshop, then will consider CKT.

Wonder how Herman can execute his kettlebell and clubbell moves so perfectly. His form is really good and almost similar to Sonnon's style.

perfect practise makes perfect. Herman practises almost every day.

On a side note, i wouldnt go for this certification- im really into bells and want to get certified, but id only be an RKC so..
but its really nice to have so many friends going for a kb certification though!

Okay here is the plan for those who are interested -

Interest check -

Will email Hotels and ask around for good rates if we can group by in advance.
So you'll have to let me know by before June - by 28th of Next month I'll close it
Let me know if you're going for Level 1 only or both.

June -
30th we have to leave for KL at around 1pm to reach the place before sunset - 5/6pm
This is to A. have a good idea how to walk from the Gym(KDTa) and B. have an orientation of the place and find food to eat.
Same time to buy any other stuff you need and have a good night's rest.

The Hotel to the gym is about 2 - 3 km walk, so be prepared to wake up in the morning at around 6.30am and leave the by 8.30am latest.

July 1 - 2 - Level 1 - 9.30am- 5.30pm

*Those who are taking level 1 will head back for singapore -
You have an option to leave by coach which has the last bus i think is around 6.45pm - ample time to wash up and get on the bus.

July 3 - 4 - Level 2 - 9.30 am - 5.30 pm

You have an option to leave by coach which has the last bus i think is around 6.45pm - ample time to wash up and get on the bus.

July 5th - 6th - R&R if you're staying till this day then you can pick whichever way you wish to go back - coach or train.

Coach prices -
https://www.aeroline.com.sg/index.html - 49 SGD per trip - 89 SGD return
Hotel -
Single - RM 188.57 - lets just put it at RM 189 per night - 78.14 SGD
shared - RM 207 - 86.03 SGD - if two guys then 43bucks per nite

So if you're going for Level 1 - minimum you need to stay is 2 nites.
June 30th - July 2th (check out before 12)
If you're going for Level 2 - minimum you need to stay is 3 nites.
June 30th - July 4th(check out before 12)

Total you need to spend if only you're not sharing rooms for 2 days with transport included
89 + 156 ++ - about SGD $245
Sharing rooms
89 + 86 ++ -about SGD 175

Total you need to spend if only you're not sharing rooms for 3 days with transport included
about $305
sharing rooms
about $218

How much spending money you wish to bring is up to you - but given the time frame after the seminar i think 100RM(50SGD) is more than enough for basic spending - YMMV if not shopping

What to bring -

*Recommended

Travel light is the best imho

2 x work out shirts
2 x casual Tshirts
1 x berms
2 x shorts

Toiletries + whatever you need.

More details will be made closer to the date.

Don't use aeroline. It has very good service but you don't need to spend that money on it. Serves food also, which sucks.

Use firstcoach. It is cheaper and nearer to the gym.

There's a train station at Bangsar but that would require you to walk for about 10 mins or so. Alternatively Taxi is an option. Another hotel is Eastin Hotel but that's about 20 mins drive away. There's also a service apartment at Jalan Semantan which is about 10 mins car ride to that place of yours -- check it out http://www.peninsula-residencekl.com/

Bangsar Telawi area is where the pubs and food/restaurants are. There are 2 malls there called Bangsar VIllage 1 & 2. You can also take a cab to Mega Mall Mid Valley about 15 mins away -- huge mall.

Bangsar is quite central to downtown KL and Petaling Jaya. If you go take a cab to SS2 (about 10 mins away), there's where you get a lot of hawker food and HK cafes and mamaks there. On Mondays, there's a huge night market in SS2, a lot of food to eat there also
More information i've gotten from a CC forumer.
