Softball help

Post by Sufian »

Calling out for Keith or anyone else who plays this game...

I need help to brushen up my passing and catching as well as batting technique.

Just now tried swinging the bat.. Felt very awkward. Need to brushen up on this specifics before March. Teaching softball next semester.

And, using the glove, I tried throwing it up and catching it again. But, this is not the same as when someone throwing the ball to u. Maybe I can bring the training ball and a glove and we can practise throwing and catching.

BTW, swinging the bat feels damn good for the abs and obliques.

No problem with the catching and throwing part, I can bring my glove and ball Sundays if need be.

However, I think you guys play fastpitch here, where as I play slow pitch mostly these days and its been years since I've played baseball where the speeds and swing mechanics are about the same despite the differences in delivery angles. Slow pitch is less about hand-eye co-ordination as it is about loading up your swing. I won't be able to offer up as many hints, helpers if that's the case.

I am using this in my PE lesson, thus it will be a slow pitch style. Thanks for your help bro. Much appreciated.

inexperienced kids will swing from elbows, which doesn't produce any power...

and it takes some practice not to pop it up for a fly.

...if it's on sundays and if you guys need another player, i think i can make it. don't have a glove anymore though (mold). or saturdays after strongman.
