Wrist Issues

Post by Derek »

I think I might have the above, what with both wrists hurting like a bitch at the joint area below the little finger. Wrist mobilty is also compromised; I can barely do push-ups now since the bending of the wrists causes substantial pain. Push Press and Neck Press are stuck at 100kg due to the pain. According to "The Anatomy of Sports Injuries" it might been wrist tendintis.Any recommendations other than R.I.C.E? I really want to get back into proper training ASAP.

Try smfr around the forearm and bis/tris?
Working "hard," or the perception of working hard, doesn't really mean anything. Sweating, vomiting, and breathing hard could be a good workout or a tropical disease kicking in.-Dan John

Usual stuff, SMFR the whole body, joint mobility work for the whole body.

I realised I shouldn't squeeze so hard for pressing movements. 100kg neck press still okay; Some pain but bearable.

Are tight triceps a factor? Just realised my triceps hurt like a bitch with a mere tennis ball for SMFR. Stretching them also seems to slightly improve wrist mobility.

Tendon injury? I had something similar before. Took a month to heal after visiting a sinseh :P

He shoved the jutting area back in which was supposedly a tendon.

The Sinseh has a degree from NTU in Physiology or something...
