any tape you can find.

Go to Guardian and get the Leukoplast beige tape or the Strappal white sportstape. I prefer Leukoplast as it's more sticky and doesn't come off as easily, however I'm mildly allergic to it so I gotta take it off within 1-2 hours or I'll get an itch there.

I thought medical "superglue" was used for cuts?
Re: torn blister ? tape it and continue .
he meant the spray-on adhesive covering. fucking burns like hell but sure makes it waterproof and ready to go again.

Re: torn blister ? tape it and continue .
i remember something from dragondoor.
you're supposed to sand the torn skin so there's no rough edges, then superglue it back.
the problem is that you're highly unlikely to have superglue when you tear shit.
when i tear shit, i just ignore it. i put liquid chalk on it too, there's some pain initially, but you just need to grip harder.
i never liked taping it. the tape always get messed up after a set, so just ended up throwing them away.

Re: torn blister ? tape it and continue .
You're probably taping it wrong. It should hold for static lifts. It even holds when I'm doing like 50 kipping pullups, or multiple snatches/clean+jerks, if you have strong tape, and taping it properly.
Re: torn blister ? tape it and continue .
i do admit that i don't know how to tape anything, i just wrap it around whatever that seems to need wrapping.
but my main problem with the tape is that it gets wet from blood and sweat (doesn't matter what lift), once it gets wet, then, well, it moves.
so i just stopped using it. i don't think i'm any worse off.

Re: torn blister ? tape it and continue .
Oh, I use tape as preventive measure. I tape before I get wet, so it's ok. If you're already wet and bloody, then you need to dry the hands before taping. As for how to tape, that depends on where your calluses are. I have them at a few places:
1. Base of fingers/top of the palm - cut a length about the distance between the base of your palm to the 1st joint of the affected finger. Split the tape length-wise for about 1-2" so it's now Y-shaped. Tape it in an up to down alignment, covering the callus, and use the 2 ends from the split to go behind the finger and stick them in a loop. Taping it all the way down to the base of your palm prevents the bar from peeling the tape off.
2. Base of my thumb or various segments of various fingers- just loop around the finger 1-2x, this one's easy.
