for a moment there, I thought you meant the accessory with the 4 limbs...
that rubber padding, isn't that just a squat bar pad thingy(tm)? surely a thick towel wrapped around will also do the trick, for you insufficiently compensated NS folks...

you could probably just get a relatively thick foam and use that.
...and you don't really need to wrap a towel around the bar, you can just fold the damn thing and put it under the bar.
my only question is how do you set up for this? do you need someone to help with the set up?

Set up bench with barbell, just sit down and roll it over your feet and up till your hips and you're all set. With a 20kg plate it should go over quite easily.
