Hi guys,

I saw somewhere in the posts Jordan mentioned that Marketplace sells Quinoa. I went to Tanglin Mall Marketplace and can't find. I can only find quinoa flour. :?

Anywhere else I can find quinoa? Many thanks!

IF im not wrong you can buy at Vivo's marketplace, that organic place. I'll help you check if i'm going later today. But the price of things there aren't really worth it.

Tastes plain but yet with a bit of fragrance (dunno how to describe). Kinda fluffy but yet nice to chew, doesn't feel like rice though. Very nice when mixed together with tuna or sardine and mashed up hard boiled eggs! :tonqe:

is this better than oats?

For oats, I just add water, then microwave for 2 mins.. add a tblspn of raisins, add 160g of cooked lean beef and 2 pan-fried eggs... and that is a fabulous meal by itself. Hearty breakfast.

Vivic: Paragon Marketplace. But I think other Marketplace also have. Go to Organics section.

Forgot to add, yah I boil with water, until water dried up and the quinoa puffed up. Takes about 15 to 20 mins depending on amount you cooking. Actually you can cook a bit more and fridge it.

Alternative recipe, add the cooked quinoa and choice of veg or minced meat or tuna/sardine and put into beaten egg. Bake for 8-10 mins... (1-2 eggs portion) Yum! There you got yr protein and carbs liao!
