Liondash Sprint, 3 Nov 2012?

5KM w/10 obstacles, so that'll be like running 400m and doing something... (sounds like 300!)

anybody interested?

yeah it's a bit pricey compared to a normal run, but I guess they need just a tad more work to setup obstacles etc in comparison.

Any other "volunteers"? Its $54/person for a group, if I can find 4 or more (so that's currently 2, xian and myself...)

no idea, but I'd hazard a guess at a "low" wall, monkey bars/swinging rings, balance beam, very much SOC type obstacles. Not sure if they will have pipes to crawl through, jello/mud pits etc, like the tough mudders races, if that's what they plan to emulate. Should be a walk in the park for us 300ers... if we were training consistently, that is... heh...

I hate SOC, and I sucked at it, lol.

But if there's a 4th person (and a backup in case any of us can't make it) then I don't mind.

Find a Canadian that's a little closer.

They just had a running of Tough Mudder last weekend, thinking about that for next year if I can find the time to train up

I think 2 months is enough; it's "just" 500-600M runs with some obstacles. And going by tough mudder type races, people need to help each other at the difficult obstacles (or else you are given something else to do, e.g. burpees, if you really, really can't do the obstacle).

Well, if I thought it was easy, I wouldn't be doing it. So that's besides the point... it's about HAVING FUN!

Well I can start a team entry, just need some consensus from all about:

1) team name ("Team 300"?)
2) wave times? Not sure if everybody has to start in the same wave, but would be good if we did. The waves start from 8am all the way through to 5pm, so I'd propose something like 8.30 or 9am (I'm guessing you guys are barely conscious at 8am... hah).

OK let me guess:
Python Pit - crawl through some pipes
Polar Plunge - jump into an ice-filled pool (in singapore, that's probably good!)
Canyon Crawl - some high/tight/slack rope thing?
Rubber Rumble - tire run?
The Great Wall - a high wall (ala SOC?)
Monkey Madness - monkey bars
Storming the Beach - ?!?
Tired Hill - a steep hill?
Muddy Maniac - mud pool?
Swamp Survival - hop across some steps?
Lion Crossing - balance beam?
The Jungle - ?!?
The Hill from Hell another steep hill?

[edit] in comparison, here are the typical tough mudder obstacles, you can see a lot of similarities: http://toughmudder.com/obstacles/ [/edit]
so far, so good, nothing really different to what I've seen in some tough mudder courses. But I guess we need to be ready to get wet and dirty (so either waterproof electronics, or don't bring any).
