Wonders never cease, one of the random posts lead me to this:

Someone's personal experience doing crossfit: he didn't get the gains he wanted (note "he wanted", since we know we are all individuals with different weaknesses and hence targets) and did a modified crossfit, with major strength days and met-cond days limiting workouts to under 10 mins.

Sounds a lot like Peter's 300 program!

Jeff Martin over at BrandX has a very cool take on a crossfit strength bias.

Check out his log, its quite interesting
