just a little write-up on delta cf...
i went there with a big doubt, knowing i might be stopped from training by the instructor.
lo, it wasn't the instructor who disrupted my training, but some kid from hwa chong who thinks backsquatting 100kg to parallel for reps is some kind of achievement(probably my weight or heavier).
lucky for me, the squat rack's safety bars were lowered, so i could go rockbottom(or attempted to as far as i could go).
front squats were pretty ok, up till 140 and my hands gave out, as always.
pushpresses went well.
backsquats for reps went well.
singlearm pushpresses with zercher squats went well.
lots of upperbodybig-chopstickbottoms there.
this gym has a few caucasians training as well.
i noticed one thing that worried me. the bars are extremely smooth, dont sound too good for deadlifting. even with chalk, this kind of bar doesn't allow me to go past 180. will be trying it this thursday, hopefully all goes well, otherwise, im on a search for another training venue.
oh, the instructors were pretty warm and friendly.

I did 195kg on those bars there before,didn't give out,don't worry.kacie wrote:

I go Delta CF 1-2 times per month to have a change of training environment and I have taken note of the dynamics there.
These are the instructors who might give you trouble
-an Eastern European type lady instructor who complained I lowered the weight too hard on deadlifts.
-a 30-40s bespectacled male Chinese, average height, average build who made noise about using rollers and balls even at the reception area.
On the other hand,if you see a BB type Malay guy on duty,it's anything goes! He actually continued to chat with me while I slammed the weights right in front of him!
