I do not truly believe in what some people tell me.They say they have very little money to eat and all that stuff.

Yet, i seriously wonder where the heck the money comes from purchasing e.g tattoo services, make-up kits, LV bags, not too shabby cellphones etc.

Maybe, they give out "one too many" bursaries until it becomes a "luxury goods fund".

It is a bit ironic that some "poorer" classmates complain that i can buy a hot meal from the canteen everyday.They eat their cold sandwiches whilst clutching on to the latest electronic gimmick/gizmo or a full leathered bag.

Perhaps the money to buy these luxury goods could have been obtained from illegal sources? I know of some ppl in my sec sch who steal anything and everything(clothes,jeans, memory cards from Sim Lim, even FOOD from 7-11! ) either for personal use or for a quick profit. Then again, I believe this is the norm amongst most teenagers in Singapore (their idea of saving up is to buy the stuff they want) . I don't know how many ppl would rather eat less, or not eat at all just to save up to buy stuff, but I used to be like tt.

What happens Alex when you point out this irony to them(tt they can afford to buy expensive stuff while complaining)? : )

Its strange to see 2 rich kids talking about the poorer counterparts in such a manner.

1 thing to note, tattooing is sometimes done by frens (and thus free), and LV bags are mostly fake.

ITs too easy for u rich boys who have it so good to look down at others. I remembered applying for and receiving financial assistance and bursaries from sec 3 till end of my JC days. And I was lucky enough to receive a scholarship for my Uni. Still, I remembered working part time throghout all these period of time to supplement my spending on school fees, books, projects, boots, apparel and my bike.

And, I also remembered the many many times that the rich classmates keep showing off their expensive stuffs to me. And when they lose it... heck I am one of the first guys to be accused of stealing.

And, during the prime of my teenage years, all I had in mind was studies, sports and girls. I would rather eat once a day to save up so that I can go out with a girl. Heck, I remembered going to Mcdonalds with my JC mates and eating all their leftovers. Why? To save money lor.

So, please spare a thought for your schoolmates. Not all of them have it as good as u guys do.

I dont tell people of my 'social class' or wealth status.

I just think its stupid for them to show off.If you are poor and show off means you are ashamed of your wealth status even if you're rich its your parents money anyway.
