How much? Nike pro ones go for 40+, not bad. I need another pair for squat day.

No abrasion, and much higher freedom of movement. The fabric of your shorts won't be pulled by your knees/balls/etc. For me, great for squats and running mostly. Of course if you have chicken legs, this won't be a problem.

the skins will allow your sweat to evaporate faster(for the cooling suits)...this will reduce body temperature fast thus promoting recovery...the tightness of the suits will slow serve as a compression...during exercises, our body is subject to microtrauma tear thus micro bleeding will occur...the compression suit will slow down this swelling process ...for after game...the the region of different pressure in your body will cause different pressure which will then cause better blood circulation..hence promoting the easing of DOMs.

some readings and journals about compression
http://www.nzcompression.co.nz/pages/1- ... ompression
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1141 ... stractPlus
http://appliedexerciselab.tamu.edu/KINE ... trauma.ppt

the pioneer for this if i am not wrong is Underarmour but the coolest looking one is Skins...buying online is damn expensive...maybe if we have someone who stay in Australia, he can ship for us...i heard in Australia is damn cheap..

Personally I don't know if I buy the compression argument. Temperature reducing? Maybe, but I don't think I've ever been in a situation where my body temp is so hot that I couldn't perform...the last 300 was close though...

well, we haven't had 40 degree heat waves lol
38 and we're already complaining we're melting.

Anyway i want the compression Tee for O lifting and front squatting.
singlet doesn't cut it plus its quite a hindrance.

like what Goi said, great for cleans and squats.. it is also said that tights hold your muscles in place so that they don't 'bounce' around as much, reducing muscle fatigue.. how true i don't know.

I generally don't like those spandex/dri-fit material when front squatting. Cotton is great for me - more grip and doesn't tear as easily.

Guys, I'm the guy who is conducting the MO. If we can get 10 ~ 20 interested buyers than maybe we're looking at the price range of $70 - $85 max. I have a MO thread at KR forum and HWZ forum but doesn't seems to have many interested buyers.

KR Forum: http://kallangroar.com/general-chat/217 ... #post68597

Bottom only. I suppose SKINS is very good for recovery. Have few friends in rugby all wearing it. I just tried to purchase it through their online store and it cost $127.91 Aussie Dollar.

I always thought these sort of shorts were cheap, US$25-30, e.g.:
http://www.rei.com/product/732624
http://www.rei.com/product/776828

Note to Bryan: please note the term "liner" shorts (means it's worn under something else...)

Are Skins some AIS (Australian Institute of Sports) research product?

The website (http://www.skins.net/us/en/Products/Bio ... logy/sport) has the half tights at AUD$80 and the long tights at AUD$140.

You really think your performance improvement is double or triple that of a US$25-30 tight?

:axe:

You big wuss, I used to just bike+run in my speedos (in competition of course, in training I'd take the time to wear some bike shorts...).
