Feeling both melancholic and euphoric regarding my gf

I need to alleviate some burden off my chest as i am guilt ridden right now.I dont know if i can sleep tonight if i do not pour out my guilt in some sort of a medium.Yea i know some would say spare me the drama-mama or theatrics.

Actually, my friend's father chatted up the girl as she works near his work place.Inevitably, his son(my friend) came into the picture. They planned to meet up last Saturday, prior to that i went to the gym with my friend. He informed me that he would be meeting a girl later for a date and asked if i would like to come along as he was shy.Yea, why not?

After gym, we parted ways temporarily but would meet up later again at the MRT station. He was going to be late so he gave the girl my number instead and told me to meet her.Initially, she was apprehensive but still decided to meet me at the MRT station before he arrived. In an sms, days later, she related that her heart was racing wildy when she took sight of me that day.

She enjoyed the places that i brought her and my friend to eat on that day and kept smsing me after the date had taken place. My friend tried to make the first move on her as they had travelled back home together on the mrt.But she bluntly told him that she fell in love with me instead. He said that it was okay but still decided to give it another go much later. She accepted him and they dated for 4 days before they broke up in an AMICABLE manner.

Reason being was that hes muslim, shes christian and the religion gets in the way of his palate and dietary restrictions. And that she has no plans of converting.Okay, dont wanna talk too much about race/religion now.

Fast foward to today.

Just now, i tried to be 'transparent' and have an open discussion. However, as an alternative i suggested that he spoke to her in private regarding this matter. This resulted in a tearful ending for him.

In another sms that he sent me later today, that it would have ended one way or another. This is largely attributed to the fact that shes christian and hes muslim and his family would not have approved it, better it ended sooner than later whereby both will get more hurt.

I feel fuckin guilty regarding this matter. The entire thing backfired on him, hes my friend for a few years and i felt like i just snatched the love of his life away from him.

Maybe that day i should have declined and not go out with them instead. Two possible outcomes are that they might still be together or maybe they would not click.

Love you bro

Damn....

wots done is already done, even if u backout now, nothing will work in between them since she already said so, im quite sure. but ps: im no expert, but usually when girls say its impossible w/o even trying, that is usually the case.
some things are meant to be, some things are not.
so just work on wot needs to be work on now, and that is the 2 of you, the "chasing" game, get to noe each other better etc etc.

What i fear most is that i cannot be a good bf.

I asked her, why of all the guys she chose me.Especially since i dress relatively simple as opposed to ostentatiously. She said something like i exude an aura of security.

and she likes leaning on my chest.

What in blazers? This is what I am reading.

1) Both of you are meeting this girl for the first time.

2) Your friend liked her but she fell for you.

3) It happened within a day.

4) She is already in love with you already?

Man... something is seriously wrong here.

dun fear about being a good bf or gf anot. Just be urself. Dun have to suit or live up to someone's standard especially if it's just the beginning, I mean, it's not like you are going to get married soon right? Living up to someone standard (esp high) is tiring because u have to maintain it. "Like me for who I am, not who you want me to be."

hmm, i think it's quite cheesy to ask "of all guys, why choose me". maybe the question coming from a girl is ok, but from a guy hmm. i think girls like guys to be confident. if you want to know why she really choose you, try rephrasing the question. how long has it been? I feel that anything that happens too fast and furious, yes exciting but it dies down very fast. Go slow is good... but then again, different people different case. then again, i dun practice wot i preach sometimes, 2c worth anyway.

why you bother so much for what?
She happy, you happy, your friend unhappy too bad for him la..

nothing he can do to make her like him, so live and let live.
Maybe later in life she may find a liking towards him but thats later mah, now just enjoy the moment and enjoy the good times.
This kinda thing, just play it simple if not make life very messy for yourself.

i would say that it's only right that you feel some guilt.
(if you didn't, then i would say you're not really his friend)

in the end, i would say that everyone in this story made some interesting choices, and each individual learned something about himself and the people involved...
