don't get me started... did I mention I hardly ever read the ST, and when I do, I treat it as what it is, a trash rag?
However, I also don't particularly condone the suicide; there may surely be extenuating circumstances, but people like Gandhi and Aung San Suu Kyi have surely suffered far worse and didn't commit suicide...

SG doesn't rate low for press freedom for nothing...
As much as China says they hold some of SG's policies and practices to be model for their development, SG has probably surpassed the master in press manipulation...

My wife reads me some headlines on saturday or sunday, which is enough for me to bemoan the lack of journalistic integrity... (does such an animal exist anymore in the modern world?).

Not the same. You get a little bit of the pulse of the people (so much as the government, I mean the free and independent SPH

will allow) and the stumbling, bumbling PC PR responses that wouldn't fool an illiterate tard.
I always have a good laugh about it and share it with my wife.

I read it only to the extent of finding out what has happened but i dont buy into it totally and learnt to take it with a pinch of salt.

As a Journalism major, it is disgusting the way the Press has tried to cover up the recent suicide cases.
