Voted v-ball, but don't mind anything. I've never played netball before so would need a grasp of the rules.

I don't think cycling is possible as a group activity, given our different levels of adaptation/participation in it. I suspect even without my lack of specific conditioning recently, Phing and I would get bored really quick and not get much of a workout from it.

If you don't have the ball, run around like a headless chook. If you have just received the ball, you can take one more step after which one foot has to remain grounded (knee injury anybody?). If you are in the circle with the ball, you can shoot.

At all times you must remain 3 feet away from the person with the ball (whether on your side or not), and no physical contact is allowed (yeah right, just like basketball is a non-contact sport). Doesn't stop you from waving your hand in front of the shooter, though, or stepping behind them, when you just about fallover trying to block their shot (helped that I used to be able to jump like a springbok, or perhaps deranged terrier).

Playing netball with hot sweaty women wearing short skirts/tights is prescribed.
