interesting article but I fell asleep halfway thru the first sentence. Thought you guys and gals might reading it

can't argue with the fitness authourity like AHA, with all their Phds and financial backings they can't be wrong.

this is meant for general public..i think it is alright for them to quote this way coz...if you recommend higher...it will just irks and discourage the general public....it is a good start...

Just an in-joke... one 300 session we were running 400m intervals, and Kevin was running along quoting the AHA recommendation, and that we were doing it wrong :P

EXACTLY. I belong to the general public and I pray everynight that human beings don't need intensity or force x distance / time to have a greater work capacity across broad time and modal + age domians.
