my wife bakes cookies and cakes... for her side income, which at times is more than my income. So, I cannot argue with her over this. And maybe thats why I have not gotten sick of almonds.

conventional oven will take longer, coz more volume and need longer to pre-heat. Toaster...really just 2 min on high can liao. Once you hear the almonds start popping then can take out liao.

I used to eat raw. Those gys who know me know that I keep to my diet. And my diet use up about 1kg of almonds in 3 days. Raw is good and ok.
But then, my wife started to roast those nuts. Now, I am hooked. Somemore at home got oven. I do my staircase cardio, the nuts roasted already. haha

Hm I only have a microwave oven, will that suffice? How long should I heat it?

Microwave ovens shouldn't be used to cook food.

You have a flat pan or a wok right? I know people hardly cook here, but ...
You can toast them in that. Just throw them in, low-medium heat. Stir regularly after the first minute or so. From there, let your eyes and nose be your guide.

Well, I wouldn't eat jerky if it's put next to a ribeye, the same way I would drink a shake if it's put next to a ribeye.
Nevertheless, I do drink shakes, just like I eat jerky. They're both tolerable. I'd rather consume them than go hungry. That's what I meant.
