Hey guys,

i just bought this Vibram 5 finger sprint series.. I was gonna to buy it online, but i decide to buy it at Novena Sq (Outdoor Life) Thank God i didn't get it online, i thought i could fit the male smallest size, but NO, i have to wear a female sprints series becos of my feet cutting... I advise u to try buy local... it cost $189, but if pay cash, 10% discount and i paid $170.10.. the male sprint series is running out of stock soon, i saw the female series still stock up... btw, if u buy it and it doesn't fit well, keep the receipt and within 7 days u could exchange for a different size... Just wanna share with u guys...

Same here, I bought a W42 rather than M42, because it fitted better.

But I also wear injinjis with them, since I have a thing about not wearing socks.

what size shoes do you wear? size 9-9.5? If so, I'll try to remember to bring mine and a pair of socks and you can try. It's different, very different, to wearing shoes (even nike frees).

You could be PRC inclined... in which case they'd be nude coloured socks...

Basically barefoot except for about 2-3mm of protection for your feet. Jerry's done more with it than I have, he's running 5km.

As with any new tool/equipment, you do need to spend some time familiarizing yourself with them before going back to 100%. I know when I first got my VFFs, I started walking a bit strange. But I'm also used to wearing shoes with much less padding (e.g. terroc 330s), so I think I acclimatized faster.

I bought my VFFs and injinjis from my last trip to the USA, august last year I think. Not locally.

just wear them all the time

do not run in them for a week

then just jog a few hundred meters on soft grass every other day

learn to pose run, you can't heel strike in vibrams

build it up very slowly

the second/third week is the most dangerous as you'll think your used to them and you go out and run 5 km

i did that and could not walk for another week!!!

after 6 months i'm knocking out 5km in 27 mins at 100kg BW

thats how long it took, but i would not go back to trainers if you paid me

Alright guys, i'm back with updates on the Vibram...it's a week after wearing the Vibram 5Fingers... i realize all my toes are spread out, i could see that this footwear makes the toes open up and my toes could move easily, especially my last 2 toes.. the experience i felt when wearing it... my calves, hamstring and my lower back were sore and tight... i guess the pelvic was in a neutral alignment position after switching to flat footwear..i felt my left hips and the glute area were sore and tight too... i didn't face any soreness in my sole area, i wore it the whole day and i tried working out with it..the toes will also come into action when you're doing any deadlifts or squat workout to give that "extra" grip and push... that's wat i observe when i train...

Oh guys, btw, let me know if u guys are interested in getting the Vibram 5Fingers too, i'm actually trying to help them promote this product as i felt lots of pple would benefit it...I dun know the fellows well, but just a interest that i wanna share with everyone out there... so i'm gathering interested parties to purchase in a big group. I'm still in talks with the fellows... let me know if you guys are interested to get it...some of my clients are oso interested in it too... and i'll see if i could work something out with them too..Cheers...

This would be great if we were all on a holiday. However it would be hard to wear this for any appreciable amount of time if we're going to work/school.

I use them for O lifting.
Quite good foot wear for hard soles.

Normal for glutes/hams soreness, after a few more times you'll get use to it.

Just make sure you wear socks with it to protect the fabric at the toes.

I am interested in getting a pair... but I have broad feet. Most shoes I buy need to have a 2E arch or I can't wear them.

Is the shoe wide?

And do they have size US 12?

Its wide enough for all your toes.

If you're 12, then you should be looking at 11 half or 1/4

you have to take into the account of the gaps inbtwn your toes
normal shoes will be longer to take into account your big toe.

What's the smallest size these come in? I am looking at the Aussie site and their smallest is 40. I am a 39 with normal shoes :?

Asking because I noticed recently the bottom of my heel is aching. Colleague said it might be a spur. This is the second time in about a month that it's aching, and I'm wondering if it's because I have been squatting in my cheap flat china shoes.

Not sure if the Vibrams will be any help because they're pretty much flat too?
