has anyone tried this brand before? Bought a small can for $3.80, 48 tbs. Manufactured by Sime Darby Edible Products Ltd 235 jalan boon lay. Made in singapore. Not sure if it's reliable because of the super low price. Heard tt coconut oil is supposed to be very expensive? Saw a small bottle at NatureFarm last time going for $40.

Coconut oil - a saturated fat that's also a MCT. Great for stir frying since it doesn't undergo mollecular change under high heat unlike unsaturated oils. Also good for lipid health.

great for people who are on low carb diets.
used immediately as fuel, as it bypass some metabolic processes to break it down.

...suppose you need 100kcal right now, why would it matter whether you get it from fat or carb?

depends on what you need that 100 kcal for.
day to day living - fats or carbs are good.
intensive exercise, fast acting carbs are preferred.
