Hey i didn't bring in the military and the USMC...galapogos wrote:This may be true for more competitive athletes, but like Sufian mentioned, he's working with regular kids, maybe not even school team athletes. Most of these athletes lack GPP and basic strength levels to begin with, so that would be a good place to start them off. As much as I'm not a CF fan, I gotta admit it is pretty good at getting GPP and basic strength levels up assuming the instructor is capable of preventing injuries in a large group setting. I believe this is possible with our Mr "Safety-First" Sufian. Not that you can't do it on your own with some circuit training or our 300 type workouts. But CF is more recognized and convenient and so might be an easier sell to the school and students.Weib wrote:well sports isn't as much GPP whether you like to view it that way or not, program design and periodization for a swimmer won't be the same with a MMA fighter.
With the tight deadline and a make or break event, why would anyone want to waste their time on GPP when strength/speed and power is the name of any game in sports which is harder to train compared to training everything at once.
so how does that apply to anything that has transpired from what i posted to your CF apologetics? I didn't know the military was interested in breaking winning medals and breaking world records in a sports environment too.
I was just stating not to JUST rely only on CF kind of training but look at how things are ran outside of it also. Thats all...
But well i got jumped at the corner lol
