It is indeed not easy to be eating clean 100% of the time, especially if friends or family around you are not supportive and probably think that you're some weirdo or health freak. I've got my fair share of stares and comments. A friend even questioned me if it is normal to be feeling hungry every 2-3 hrs, eating 4 eggs a day and eating so much meat that they say it is unhealthy.
It really takes a whole lot of discipline to stick to eating clean most of the time. I have my weakness for sweet stuff. Eating clean is never what I like but I like the results that it brings me. So I am really glad that I have a partner who shares the same lifestyle habits, which I find is a very good source of motivation and mutual support. Yes, I have a super disciplined husband.
Sometimes when I get out of control, I'll get that *what are heck are you eating?* glare from my husband which will immediately make me put whatever sinful food that I have picked up back onto the plate, especially when dining outside with friends.
I do cheat sometimes to be very frank, but sometimes when I see my husband's abs, it just brings me back on track again. Yes I get jealous of his abs cos I lost mine after childbirth. WTF

Re: For those who are really eating healthy
like Xarope said it's a lifestyle change....
for myself it's a no-brainer - do i want to end up as stroke patients like my parents? NO!!! Do i want to be on statins & other medications that some friends my age (40s to 50s) are on?? NO WAY!!!
Do i want to lift & have an active lifestyle, enjoy my life till my Creator calls me home? Heck Yes!!
Once in a while i do indulge but that's just about it.... i try to eat clean 95% of the time.... and no, laksa, char kway teow, mee goreng & all the junk food don't appeal to me any more & neither do i have any cravings for them. The ONLY craving i have once in a few mths is some VERY GOOD HK dim sum.... that's just about it.

Re: For those who are really eating healthy
Cravings are interesting since everybody gets different ones. Could it be partially related to the type of training that you do? Ever since I added metabolic work into my strength training, I've lost my craving for all fast food and sugary treats. Even the McDonalds MacSpicy, a past favourite, doesn't get me up anymore. In fact I get queasy just looking at it.

Squats can only strengthen, tear or break something. Strengthening, tearing and breaking is totally awesome. Thus squats are awesome.
