Manuka Honey

Post by galapogos »

Any sexperts in honey? I'm having a bit of a sore throat, so just now at my QB pit stop I bought a 500g bottle after seeing it. $14.80/bottle IIRC, but there's no UMF rating though. Seems pretty cheap. Soothes my throat too, but a bit of mild aftertaste.

Unless it's combed honey, makes no difference, IMHO.

But honey and lemon does make my sore throat feel much better...

You asked the honey to sit down to be combed, then add the lemon and lick...

oh wait, am I mixing that up with salt and a tequila? :drinkers:

honey in my experience got no immediate antibiotic effect - propolis is the one that helps.

Usually i'll just take propolis to help with the throat - manuka honey got many grades 5+-10+
Of course the higher the grade, the better/more expensive.
Working "hard," or the perception of working hard, doesn't really mean anything. Sweating, vomiting, and breathing hard could be a good workout or a tropical disease kicking in.-Dan John
