BARBARA

Five rounds, each for time of:
20 Pull-ups
30 Push-ups
40 Sit-ups
50 Squats

Rest precisely three minutes between each round.
Would people turn up if I proposed this for this weekend's workout?

Assuming it doesn't rain, there's no additional equipment necessary at TPY Stadium to do this, although I'm not sure what sort of situps these are (just plain, on the floor, hurt the knobbly bits on my lower back, kind of situps?)

we can always swap it for reverse crunches.

If Kevin is joining us, perhaps we can do something else.

I can keep this in my back pocket for my come-back-from-Tuas-and-do-stuff-at-home workouts

Still got some slight DOMs in my legs and traps from the other day...

This Barbara is one bitch I tell you. The 3 mins rest is up even before you know it.
For the sit-ups pleaseeeeee use either the abmat or fill up the lumbar arch (with towel / cloth)so that the lower back has leverage and activation of the RA (rectus abdominals) is made possible compared to pulling on the psoas for levergae which is a sure way to fuck up the back.

700 reps! Even at 2s/rep that's ~24min

And lots of blisters with those 100 pullups! Gotta bring out my gloves...tape won't do shit...

I propose we do this for wet weather program since it doesn't require our equipment. If it doesn't rain though I'd rather do something else.

thats because in between the sets and reps, we'll somehow have to rest. :|

Sorry forgot to add in the scale
2 possible ways to scale Barbara

1) Five rounds, each for time of:
10 Pull-ups
20 Push-ups

40 Squats

Rest precisely three minutes between each round.

2) Five rounds, each for time of:
5 Pull-ups
10 Push-ups
15 Sit-ups
20 Squats

Rest precisely three minutes between each round

Sounds like a good idea, let's keep barbara for a rainy day, I can't bear the thought of another FGB this weekend.

So Phing's Day Off it is... unless Kevin (Lim) is turning up and has some other, more painful, workout he'd like to try.

Slight correction, just to put things into perspective, that the guy who set the best time did so whilst wearing what can most probably be called, floppy slippers.

(in some alternate reality, this could be conceivably an unfair advantage...)

Well, I vaguely remember the whole thing... I did 3 rounds, but the timing was for my first 2 rounds.

Anyway, hope u guys break the timing. Have stopped running 400m on my part. Can't wait to start 300 again. Nothing beats working out in a group, shedding blood and tears together. Training alone is really driving me up the wall.
