Happy HOLIDAYS!

Post by Sufian »

To all friends and forummates, I take this opportunity to ask for forgiveness for any hatred and ill-feelings that I have caused, whether knowingly or unknowingly, and wish everyone a happy holiday tomorrow!

I have fasted for one month, and tomorrow onwards I can eat as usual.
I am so happy for this.

One thing that the fasting month made me realise is many times we forget how comfortable and privelleged our lives are. When hungry, take out money, buy food. Why? Because we have this option. For some, they really don't have this option. When I was fasting, I realised that.

For some, they really do not have the money to buy food, thus, depends on donaters or givers. And, whatever money they have, they will really treasure and just get the cheapest available food that provides energy.

And, here we are arguing time and again whether we should eat more carbs, more proteins, or more fats. For "some", all these do not matter. Survival is most prominent issue.

Well, fasting month always brings me back to earth. I was too engrossed looking over my diet, too engrossed in training, in work, that I really forgot to treasure and truly enjoy the little things. Sure, I have a goal, but surely, some things are much more important.

BAck to nature for me. Time to take it easy, and enjoy the ride. One thing for sure, I am gonna start sleeping normally again. 10pm to 6am. Everyday. Readjust my biolgical clock!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Training and fasting, that takes some self discipline.

thanks for all the well-wishers.

Btw, carl, I myself have a tub of horsepower that I do not use anymore. Haha

And, its almost time to sleep.

For the first time in a few years, I did not care what I ate. I can only recall that it is a whole lot of glutinuous rice, chicken curry, beef chilli and cookies.

Ate 5 times today, and after every meal i slep for a full hour. Hows that for a carb crash? Haha..

Enjoy your training everybody!

haha... I get what u mean... But I am not skinny by nature. I would be totally fat again if I follow your diet.

I did a 3 Mcdonalds meals a day diet whilst studying in NUS, working as a despatch rider for McD. I got totally obese then that I could not see my feet when I stand up. Haha.

Happy holidays, Suffian. Don't know you very well yet, but with more 300 sessions coming up, hope to see you there now that the fasting is over!
