hello all of you, sorry about bringing this old topic up, but there're some points perhaps i know most would like to see cleared up.

firstly, im typing this post here as, well, the captain of the sp strongman team 09- that is this year's team.
The sp team as its name suggests, represents the school and not any other affilated team. two TIB members are in the team- manyu and myself and one WUG member- thinesh, alex who is the last member is unaffilated to any. However we are competing next week not as 'members of strongman teams' but rather 'sp students'.

This entire thing arose due to the want to see Luke as a member of the sp team taking part next week. Sam simply wanted to see luke part of the sp team, reasons clear to all i would say and he would admit- he wants to take care of his own members more, nothing wrong with it. Things turned awry then ugly when confronted with such a situation that manyu and myself did not know how to react to, thus we felt threatened and coerced to compromise.

The gist would be that we felt compelled to keep to our agreement to our formal team- that is the team withstanding and will be taking part in the competition next sat, but sam was pretty adamant on luke joining the team. We did not include Luke in the team in the first place as he was injured prior to that and according to Manyu, he seemed to be less interested in trng and so on and so forth. We explained our stand, or rather I explained our stand (note: everything was over the phone thus dont tell me npnt, nent), but sam was still firm with his stand. He said luke was very much interested in participating, and after talking to Luke, we found that to be true. However true that was though, we still could not go back on our members, and we explained that to luke.

Sam then realised i was sticking to my stand, and he proposed a competition between the three of them- alex, thinesh and luke to fight for the remaining two places on the sp team. It was reasonable and i couldnt find a reason to reject that esp since 'they were so good as i claimed they were'. I had no choice but to explain the situation to thinesh and alex, and i believe this was when thinesh told rizal about this and things started snowballing.

I cannot say for sure thinesh was about to be kicked out of the team at that point of time, neither could i say for sure it was due to his identity as a WUG member that all this was happening, but i can assure everybody that nobody wanted to see this happening.

To Rizal and other WUG members who felt provoked because of this matter; i offer my most sincere apologies here.
To Sufian the brother who acted in good faith when he saw something wrong; i thank you as perhaps due to your timely questioning and intervention, things were not made worse.

On the day when the competition for the two places in the team were to be decided, Luke fell sick. Manyu and i spent some time explaining the stand we were in and why we were on Thinesh and Alex's side though we were friends. Luke eventually came round to the idea that we really couldnt turn our back on our two teammates and agreed to well..

I hit thinesh with a text once i felt matters were reasonably resolved and assured him he was still in the team, that text and his reply i still do have. He thanked me for my support and so on. Thinesh probably felt his place in the team was compromised because alex is honestly pretty damn strong, maybe thats why.

I have heard from sufian that WUG and TIB are trying to make peace and be friends- thus this post is being made in the light of all the smiles and warm welcomes and friendliness and blah blah, it is NOT a post trying to push the blame to whomever, or whatever- that is to say this post should be in the least, politically correct to all parties involved. Honestly it better be cos damnit, ive spent a long time typing this out and racking my brains over how i could phrase this better.

Thank you, and i hope all of you have a clearer idea on what actually happened lol.

I think you should ask thinesh himself why he felt like that instead of assuming "probably felt his place in the team was compromised"
He may have not liked the way you've handled things or misunderstood your notions.

before you close the case, make sure everyone just sit down and talk about it and get it off their chest so that everyone is onboard can agree or air their disapproval and head towards the same direction.
