Allows Olympic lifting?
lol the barbell can spin or not in the first place...
TPY E1 bb spins fine, loads of space and the attendant is not overly anal.

Working "hard," or the perception of working hard, doesn't really mean anything. Sweating, vomiting, and breathing hard could be a good workout or a tropical disease kicking in.-Dan John

you lower the bar slowly as much as possible and then let it drop on your shoulders and dip to absorb the weight.hermanchauw wrote:Btw, could somebody teach me how to lower the jerk so that i don't have to drop the bar?

from shoulders to floor would be like this:
you flip your elbows from under the bar to over the bar and go onto your toes. you land the bar on your thighs. you then go back onto your heels and bend the knees to absorb the weight.

I lower snatches the same as I lower jerks, though the snatches are harder from overhead to rack position. I don't really bend the knees to catch it on the rack position. I just do an eccentric press as far as I can then let it drop with a slight knee bend. But of course this way is more tiring, but less chances of it banging down on some place around your head & shoulders.

it doesn't hurt the knee.. the worse is if not done properly, you end up hitting the thighs too hard and bruising them. the more you do, the more the thigh is adapted to cushioning the weight.

some may not agree without evidence =PMr Enigma wrote:that's why Olifts are low reps.. but for beginners of course it is more draining since they are not used to it..Weib wrote:but it sucks alot of energy from you. =(
But seriously the lowering of the weights sucks if you can't drop it.
