Heart rate monitor

Post by hermanchauw »

Is there a design that doesn't have a bra strap? Cos i want to check my heart rate during jerks and don't want anything restricting my thoracic movement. Maybe one that attaches to the ankles?

Can save the telemetry or not? Cost i won't be looking at the watch during my sets (duh) and can only review the data after the sets.

What models are available and what is the market price?

So far as I know, all Polar models attach via a "bra" strap, though some can actually be snapped onto a polar branded sportsbra, but I suppose that's neither here nor there.

The model I have, or I suppose had, since someone helped themselves to my watch has an elastic strap that wasn't too restrictive, (some of the lower end models have a larger plastic piece that may be more restrictive), but I used it exclusively to cycle and spin.

I don't see my model anymore, and am too lazy to look for the current equivalent, but it did record my most recent workouts, max, min and average heart rates as well as the amount of time spent in certain preprogrammed (user defined) HR zones. It was a mid range model that went for about 219CAD
